After board approval, we are now on a weekly maintenance schedule for the rest of the summer and into early fall for the lake. Our first weed treatment occurred on Thursday May 22, 2014. It is safe to swim in the lake. It will take some time before the weeds are gone from the lake. They are dying, but there may be some debris on the lake surface for a while until they are brought under control.

The lake should begin looking better now that we are on a weekly maintenance program.

Also a BIG thanks to Jay Gwizdala our park commissioner are in order. Without his help, this would not have been possible. We had a limited budget available to maintain the park and the lake. Jay has been mowing the entire park so we would have enough money to pay for the lake maintenance program. So next time you see Jay be sure to thank him. It’s people like Jay that make Echo Lake such a great community.
